                                             Information for Indian Traveler

  1. No Visa is required to visit Bhutan
  2. Indian traveler wishing to visit Bhutan can travel by:
  3. Passport having minimum 6 months validity from the date of your Bhutan travel.
  4. Voter ID Card issued by Election Commission of India.
  5. Children can travel on Birth certificate and school ID issued by school or letter from school Principal
  6. The Entry permit will be issued by Department of Immigration on arrival at Paro Airport and it is valid to travel Thimphu,Paro and Phuntsholing only and to those who enter Bhutan by land can obtain permit from  boarder town on working days.
  7. Indian traveler having valid passport who book their Bhutan trip with us, we can arrange them  E Permit  in advance which is valid in all the districts. We required at least 3 working days to obtain e permit and they can enter Bhutan in any days by land.
  8. Indian traveler entering from Phuntsholing need to complete Biometric formalities however traveler entering from Paro airport is not required.
  9. Valid pass port is required for Indian nationals who are travelling Bhutan from other country.
  10. Phuntsholing gate will be open from 6 AM till 8 PM and permit is not required to enter Phuntsholing.
  11. Phuntsholing Immigration office remains closed on Saturday, Sunday and government holidays, so it is important to check the arrival date for that traveler who enter Bhutan by Phuntsholing and don’t have E permit.

The traveler can enter Bhutan by Air as well as by Land. The land traveler can drive from nearest Indian airport to Phuntsholing i.e. Bagdogra which is  4.1/2 hrs drive to reach Phuntsholing  and those who travel by train can  travel from Hasimara which is 40 minutes drive to Phuntsholing.
