Thimphu festival is biggest festival of Bhutan, People from other districts also join to witness the festival. This festival is preformed to honor Buddhist saint Guru Rimpoche who brought Buddhism in the country in 7th century. Tse meaning date and chu meaning tenth, is performed annually in all the districts coinciding with tenth day of the Bhutanese calendar. Interesting and colorful mask dances are shown publicly in a open ground specially in the courtyard of the fortress, “The Dzong”, where all people gather to witness the dances. Witnessing the Tsechu is believed to accumulate the good deeds and help us to ride of the sins committed in the past. Day 1  23rd September, 2020 Arrival in Paro – Thimphu

Flight to Bhutan offers spectacular views of the world highest mountains including Mount Everest. On arrival in Paro international airport Bhutan Travel Organiser representative will receive you and transfer to Thimphu, approximately an hour drive. On the way visit Taksogang monastery and Thimphu and Paro river meeting point. Upon arrival we will check into the hotel relax, after lunch we will visit National Memorial Chorten, stupa built in the memory of late 3rd king, Chang gangkha Lhakhang. One of the oldest temples of Thimphu Valley. National Textile Museum. Overnight in Thimphu. Altitude 2400m.

Day 2   24th September, 2020 Thimphu  Sightseeing.

After the breakfast, we will proceed to Cheri Hike.It takes anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour depending on the person. After crossing a small cantilever bridge over the Wang Chhu it’s a steady climb up hill. It is believed that Zhabdrung spend 3 years in retreat at Cheri. Even to these days Cheri is one of the most popular destinations of monks going into retreat. The surrounding area of both Tango and Cheri is home to many hermitages.

Cheri is often counted among one of the sacred places of Bhutan as it houses the remains of Zhabdrung Rinpoche’s father Tempa Nyima. The inner walls of the sanctum are covered with beautiful frescoes of Buddhist saints. As the temple standing atop a hill, it boasts a spectacular view of the surrounding forest and river. If you’re lucky there are chances of spotting a goral or two grazing by the rocky slope.

 River Side Lunch.  Afer Lunch Drive Back to Thimphu City. Visit Vegetablemarket, Children Park,Archary Ground where you will witness Bhutanese national game.Over night in Thimphu. Altitude 2400m.

Day 3  25th  September 2020,Thimphu Sightseeing

After your B/fast  I will make an appointment with the forest official. You can visit the office and discuss over as Bhutan is 72% forest covered with carbon negative. After that visit Semtokha dzong, oldest fort of the country built on 1629 by Zhabdrung. Buddha point. Buddha Dordenma is a gigantic Shakyamuni Buddha statue in the mountains of Bhutan celebrating the 60th anniversary of fourth king Jigme Singye Wangchuck.it is 54m tall. Visit Takin zoo where you will see Bhutan national animal, Himalayan birds, dears etc. Folk heritage museum, Panting school,

Day 4 – 26th September, 2020 Thimphu Festival

Day 5  27th September, 2020 Thimphu to Punakha.

We will checkout from the hotel and drive to Punakha over Dochula pass at 3050m. If the weather permits we can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan at a site that stretches almost 180 degrees. After our packaged lunch we will hike to Chimi Lhakhang, temple of fertility which is associates with religious arts of phallus, Punakha Dzong (fortress) which houses the most elaborated temple in the country. Visit longest suspension bridge, Overnight in Punakha. Altitude 1350m.

Day 6  28th  September, 2020 Punakha Sightseeing

After Breakfast we will drive towards Khamsum Yulay Namgyal Chorten, It was built by the Queen Mother to ward off evil forces and bring peace and harmony for all living beings. It is one of the finest examples of Bhutanese architecture. It is located about 30 minutes drive from the town and a 45 minutes uphill hike from the base of the hill through rice fields.  After your hick you can do river rafting (On your own cost) and River Side lunch.Visit Punakha nannury and explore Punakha Valley if time permit. Overnight in Punakha. Altitude 1350m.

Day 7 29th September, 2020 Punakha to Phubjikha

After your decelious B/fast drive to Phubjikha, valley of endangered Black Necked Crane for approximately 2 hours drive. Black Necked Crane is one of the rare specials of the birds in the world, which migrates from Tibetan plateau to Bhutan in winters. Phobjikha valley is a paradise for nature lovers and hikers so enjoy your hike around. Take an easy valley hike to the Gompa which take about 2 hrs and called Phobjikha Natural Trail. Overnight in Phubjikha (Farm House)/hote l altitude 2900m.

Day 8  30th September, 2020 Phubjikha to Paro

After your B/fast  start your journey to Paro. Lunch on the way,  In Paro Visit Kitchu Lhakhang. Muesum and Dzong.Over night in Paro. Overnight in Paro, altitude 2250m. Farm house stay

Day 9  1st October, 2020 Paro to Haa Excursion.

After your b/fast drive to Haa Valley from Chelala pass altitude 3810m. Lunch at home stay. Visit Haa Dzong. Back to Paro. Over night in Paro altitude2250m.

Day 10 2nd  October 2020,  Paro Tiger Nest Hike

Early morning drive to the base for the hike up to Tiger’s Nest Monastery, the most revered temple in the country that literally hangs on a granite cliff overlooking the Paro valley. It is said to be where the legendary Indian saint, Guru Padmasambhava, flew from eastern Bhutan on the back of a tiger to overcome the demons of Paro region who were opposing the spread of Buddhism. Lunch in the cafeteria. Most of the day will go on the hike as you ascend gradually taking in the breathtaking views along the way. Overnight in Paro 2250m.

Day 11   3rd  October 2020, Departure.

The tour will end today. After the breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. Carry smile on your face, eyes with tears and memories unlimited.
