Tour Of The Dragon
The Tour of the Dragon Start from Bumthang and end in Thimphu, the Capitical city of Bhutan covering around 268 km. The riders have to ride through the thick forest to mountain passes ranging from 2000 to 3400 meters. In the starting riders has to follow the Bumthang river almost 5 km and climb up till kiki La pass 2860m. The rides have to cross yotongla pass located at 3400m. Aafter crossing Yotong La pass the riders rides downhill till Trongsa. From Trongsa the road descends gently till Chendebji Chorten and then they have to ride uphill till Pele La pass located at 3300m. After passing this pass the riders has to rides to down hills in the thick oak forest till Wangdue Phodrang 1200M. Finally, they has to ride slowly uphills from Lobesa which 6 km from Wangdue Phodrang and riches Dochu La Pass 3150M and the rides has to ride downhill till the finish line to Thimphu Clock Tower.

Day 1 Arrival in Paro to Thimphu (1. hrs).
Flight to Bhutan offers spectacular views of the world highest mountains including Mount Everest. On arrival in Paro international airport Bhutan Travel Organiser representative will receive you and transfer to Thimphu, approximately an hour drive. Evening we will explore the city by walk. Overnight in Thimphu, Altitude 2400m.
Day 2 Thimphu to Punakha (2hrs)
After your breakfast drive to Punakha, the winter Capital of our religious leader through Dochu La pass 3150M. If the weather permits we can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan at a site that stretches almost 180 degrees. En-route we will take hike to Chimi Lhakhang. The Fertility Temple dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kunley (Commonly known as The Divine Madman). Visit Punakha Dzong (fort) and nearby suspension bridge for photo. Check into the hotel and relax. Overnight in Punakha, Altitude 1350m.
Day 3 Punakha to Phubjikha (3hrs)
After breakfast drive to the north of Punakha.We will hike to Khamsum Yulay Namgyal Chorten, which will take about 45 mins to reach on the top. After returning back we will do rafting and river side lunch. After Lunch drive to Phubjikha. Overnight in Phubjikha. Altitude 2900m.
Day 4 Phubjikha to Trongsa (5hrs)
After breakfast drive check out from Hotel and do gangtay hike for 2 hours. Visit gangtey lhakhang and drive to Trongsa by Pelela la pass 3420m.Check in to the hotel and relax. . Overnight in Trongsa. Altitude 2200m.
Day 5 Trongsa to Bumthang (2hrs)
Checkout from the hotel, visit Trongsa Dzong, the home of the ancient royals and nearby watch tower which is recently converted into Musuem. We will stop at Yotongla and walk about an hour downhill. Stop and visit yatha woolen factory which is famous in the region.Check in the hotel and visit Jakar Dzong. Evening we will explore Jakar town by foot and evening back to the hotel. Overnight in Bumthang, Altitude 2650m.
Day 6 Bumthang Sightseeing
Early morning visit Janbay Lhakhang the one of the first 2 Buddhist temples built in the country. This is the home of the naked dance that is still performing annually.Visit Kurjey Temple, the site where royals are cremated. After lunch visit burning lake and explore Tang valley with beautiful picture. Evening stroll in Jakar town and try some local pancake and noodles. Overnight in Jakar Altitude 2650m.
Day 7 Bumthang Sightseeing
Today you will attend the briefing on next day’s race. After that visit Swiss farm house on walk. Evening relax and mentally be prepared. Overnight in Jakar Altitude 2650m.
Day 8 Bumthang Tour of the Dragon Start.
Early in the morning we will drop you to the start point.Our team will follow you till the end point. . Overnight in Thimphu Altitude 2350m
Day 9 Thimphu Sightseeing
After your delicious breakfast visit Buddha point, National Memorial Temple which was built in memory of our third king. Mini takin zoowhere you will see national animal of Bhutan, few pieces of deer and Himalayan modal. After lunch visit Textile museum, fork heritage museum where you will see olden Bhutanese ways of living and nearby panting school. We will also visit vegetable market and archery ground to see the archery math. Evening visit Thimphu Dzong (fort). Overnight in Thimphu Altitude 2350m.
Day 10 Thimphu to Paro (1hrs)
Check out from the hotel after our delicious breakfast and drive to Paro. Check in the hotel and drive to chelela pass 3988m.We will do Chele la hike 2hrs and return back to hotel.Evening Explore tiny Paro town. Overnight in Paro Altitude 2200m.
Day 11 Paro sightseeing
Morning after the breakfast, we will take awesome hike Bhutan’s most revered monuments, the Taktshang Goemba, more commonly referred to as the “Tiger’s Nest”. The four-hour trek offers spectacular views of this sacred monastery perched on vertical cliff surface at 900m above the valley floor. After lunch, we will visit Paro Dzong and national museum and Kitchu Lhakhang one of the old temples built in seventeenth century by Tibetan King. Overnight in Paro Altitude 2200m.
Day 12 Departure.
The tour will end today. After the breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. Carry smile on your face, eyes with tears and memories unlimited. Tour staffs will bid you farewell at the airport departure gate with the quick prayer of save journey and to see you again in future.
