Haa is one of the district of Bhutan which is located above 3638m. Haa used to be off from the tourist till 2002 since from opening it became well known to the world with the nature lovers and day hikers. It is 70 km and takes almost 3 hrs drives from Paro across highest motorable pass called Chelala pass 3988m. Chelala pass gives spectacular view of bhutan’s higest mountain range Jhumolhari, 7326m. In Haa Valley you can find yak herders and farmers, they cultivate high altitude crops such as wheat, potatoes, barley and millet.

Day 1 Arrival in Paro to Thimphu (1.2 hrs).

Day 1     Arrival in Paro to Thimphu (1.2 hrs).

Flight to Bhutan offers spectacular views of the world highest mountains including Mount Everest. On arrival in Paro international airport Bhutan Travel Organiser representative will receive you and transfer to Thimphu, approximately an hour drive. Upon arrival we will check into the hotel, afternoon we will drive to north end of motithang valley and hike around takin’s mini zoo which will introduce us the spiritual and miracles practice. Later we will take awesome Wangditse hike overlooking entire Thimphu valley welcome coming us the first day in the country. Evening we will explore the city by walk. Overnight in Thimphu, altitude 2400m.

Day 2     Thimphu sightseeing.

After the breakfast, we will take full day trek excursion to Phajoding with picnic lunch. The hike starts from Motithang near takin’s mini zoo. The first 30 minutes walk in the deep blue pine forest surrounded by bushes and lemon grass will open up our breadth. After 2 hour walk uphill, a chorten dotted in an open area will come into view and soon after 30 mins pull up from the chorten finally will take us to a place where we can see few houses and old temples around and this is called Phajoding. The view in the south is breathtaking. Visit quiet temples of Phajoding after the lunch before we decent down the valley back to our car. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 3     Thimphu to Punakha (2.5 hrs).

Check out from the hotel after our delicious breakfast and drive to north end of Thimphu valley and we will hike to Cheri Goenpa. The hike takes about 45 mins one way to reach the temple and trail passes through beautiful cantilever bridge and forest creating the chance to see birds and wild animals’ sometime. This is the monastery where the first monastic body was established in the Kingdom. later we will explore the weekend market only between Thursday-Sunday. We will also have glance to look at painting school before proceeding to Punakha. After lunch, we will drive to Punakah over dochula pass at 3050m. If the weather permits we can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan at a site that stretches almost 180 degrees. En-route we will take evening hike to Chimi Lhakhang, temple of fertility which associated with religious arts of phallus. Check into the hotel and relax. Overnight in Punakha, altitude 1350m.

Day 4     Punakha to Phobjikha (3 hrs).

Today we will have an early departure for the lengthy drive to Phobjikhakha, valley of black necked cranes. Upon entering the valley we will pay homage to Gangtey Gonpa before checking into the resort. If time permits we will take beautiful 2 hour natural hike from the gompa to nearby road head. walk or bike around the feeder road of Phobjikha valley meeting locals and students. Evening we may enjoy talking tales of Yeti as it is very famous in the black mountain region. Overnight in Phobjikha, altitude 2900m.

Day 5     Phobjikha halt.

Phojikha offers wonderful hikes all around beautiful valley. There are many interesting places for walks like taking Gangtey natural trail, Gangtey trek etc. explore whole day in the valley. Overnight in Phobjikha

Day 6     Phobjikha to Haa (6 hrs).

Check out from the hotel and retrace our drive to Paro via Wangdue, dochula and Thimphu. Upon arrival check in the hotel and relax. Overnight in Paro, altitude 2638m.

Day 7  Haa to Paro

In the morning explore small  Haa town Visit Haa Dzong,Lhakhang Karpo,Lhakhang Nagpo, and drive to Chelala pass (Altitude 3988M). After  taking short photo break retrace downhill to Paro. Check in the hotel. Evening we will explore the tiny Paro town. Overnight in Paro, altitude 2200m.

Day 8     Paro sightseeing.

Morning after the breakfast, we will take awesome hike Bhutan’s most revered monuments, the Taktshang Goemba, more commonly referred to as the “Tiger’s Nest”. The four-hour trek offers spectacular views of this sacred monastery perched on vertical cliff surface at 900m above the valley floor. After lunch, we will visit drukgyen ruin Dzong and national museum if time permits, Paro Muesum and Kitchu Lhakhang. Overnight in Paro, altitude 2200m.

Day 9     Departure

The tour will end today. After the breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight. Carry smile on your face, eyes with tears and memories unlimited. Tour staffs will bid you farewell at the airport departure gate with the quick prayer of save journey and to see you again in future.

  1. What is the cost for the trip and what type of accommodation do you provide?

  Ans; The Daily Cost for peak season (March, April, May, September, October and November) is USD  250 per person per night and lean Season (December, January, February, June, July and August) USD 200 per person per night. The above cost includes minimum very good 3 Star Hotels with 3 times meal a day, Government’s Sustainable Development Fee $65 per night per person and taxes, good licensed guide, private car & driver and entry fees.

  1. What Additional Payment do I need to pay?

    Ans: Bhutan Visa Fees USD 40 per person

    1. If you are single traveler you have to pay additional USD 40 per night per person as Surcharge
    2. And if you are two travelers you have to pay additional USD 30 per night per person as Surcharge and more than 2 travelers no need to pay surcharge.

3. What documents are required for the Visa and how many days is required to approve Visa?

Ans; We just need your clear passport copy for the Visa. It takes 4 to 5 working days to approve it.  Bhutan Visa is approved by government of Bhutan upon receiving the full tour payment from you. Bhutan Travel Organiser team will do on behalf of you.

  1. Do you book our flight? If so, which cities outside Bhutan we can fly to and from Paro and which is the most convenient as for flying to/from Bhutan?

Ans; Yes we do book the flight for you and we don’t charge service charge. We have flights to and from cities like Bangkok, Kathmandu, Delhi, Kolkata, Dhaka, Singapore, Guwahati and Bagdogra

  1. What is the procedure for this Trip booking with Bhutan Travel Organiser?  

Ans; You will have to book your trip at least two months prior to your arrival if you are travelling in a group more than 6 people in peak seasons since we have very limited good hotels and limited flight seats. So earlier is the best. Also you need to deposit USD 500 to confirm your booking with Bhutan Travel Organiser
